The West House in Biddenden, Kent is a lovely family-run restaurant set in a 15th Century weavers cottages is a wonderful dining experience. Reviewed by The Observer as, ‘…. Holidaying with us in Cranbrook? You can visit the Apicius which is also a Michelin star establishment. It’s very reasonably priced and has a scrummy varied menu to tempt you with. Cranbrook has some quality restaurants for you to choose from, some perfectly situated on the high street including The George Hotel which has a medieval feel to it and a tasty tandoori restaurant called Mumtaz Mahal.
If you’re staying in Whitstable, or even popping over for a visit, The Sportsman in Seasalter is well worth a visit. With special mentions from highly regarded press such as Telegraph and the Guardian, The Sportsman has built up a strong reputation for showcasing fine dishes from locally sources produce.
For a very sophisticated affair, then Read’s restaurant in Faversham is a wonderful place to visit. Its grand Georgian manor house is set in beautiful tranquil gardens and surrounded by striking horse chestnut trees. They use herbs and vegetables from the gardens and fish sources from the quayside at nearby Whitstable and Hythe.
