There are some beautiful gardens and woodlands giving a wonderful spring display and many of our historic castles and houses have plenty of fun family activities organised for the half term and Easter holidays. Easter Egg Hunts with the National Trust
The National Trust has again joined with Cadbury to create their annual egg hunts and offer you the ultimate day out. Find and solve the clues to claim your chocolate prize! With over 20 National Trust sites throughout Kent and Sussex, you are sure to find something to keep your little Easter bunnies entertained – there are a wide variety of activities taking place at various different locations.
Heritage Transport Show, Kent Showground 7th April 2018
The Heritage Transport Show has approximately 500 vehicles on display ranging from motorbikes, cars, tractors, commercials and much more. The highlight of the show is the ‘South East Bus Festival’ which features a display of 100 buses and bus related trade stands – with visitors and exhibitors able to have as many free vintage bus rides as they like!
Broadstairs Food Festival 31st March - 2nd April 2018
The Broadstairs Festival, enjoy 3 days of mouthwatering local food and drink, with loads happening across the whole weekend.
Festival of Steam and Transport, Chatham 1st - 2nd April 2018
This festival is a real MUST for any steam enthusiast with some of the South East’s finest Steam Traction Engines, Road Rollers, Locomotives and hundreds of classic cars and vehicles on display at Chatham Historic Dockyard. You can also visit the set of ‘Call The Midwife’, enjoy live music, the all-inclusive funfair or take a ride around one of the dockyard trains.
Brighton Festival 4th May - 3rd June 2018
Established in 1967, Brighton Festival is an annual celebration of music, theatre, dance, literature, family events and much more – taking place in venues across Brighton and Hove for three weeks every May.
