Description

A beautifully presented 16th Century house located just outside the city walls and almost within sight of the cathedral spires.  This pretty half-timbered property has charm and history aplenty and provides comfortable accommodation for up to 3 people.  The cosy living area has an original inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove for those winter evenings curled up with a book.  The open plan kitchen and dining area has been creatively fitted with bespoke designed concealed cupboards. Majestic Canterbury cathedral and the main shopping area Whitefriars are just 5 minutes walk, together with an array of restaurants, cafes, independent shops and museums to visit - all within a short stroll.  The gardens of St Augustine's Abbey are on the doorstep where you can take the dog for a walk  or why not head out of the city for a day and explore the many nearby beautiful villages and enjoy a pub lunch.  After a day of sightseeing, just relax in the sunny enclosed courtyard garden, planted with pretty shrubs and climbing roses.  Shop: 200 yards     Pub:100 yards     Coast:  8.7 miles

Bedroom 2 is also carpeted and overlooks the front, it has a single bed with bedside table and lamp, a writing desk and a custom built wardrobe with cupboard and shelving
Bathroom  with concealed mirrored cupboards and marble tiles together with a Villeroy and Boch suite, that comprises a bath with drench shower over, a hand basin and w.c.  Please note that there is no radiator in the bathroom however the boiler is housed in one of the concealed cupboards, which provides adequate heat in a small room

Garden: A small enclosed and sunny courtyard garden which is prettily planted with a climbing rose and flowering shrubs.  There is a small shed for storing the garden furniture and a gate with side access to the street.

Parking: In nearby pay and display car parks at Longport or Holman's Meadow

Heating: Gas central heating and wood burning stove

Pets: Accepts 1 well behaved dog at this property. Please take own bowls & bedding and ensure pets do not go into bedrooms or on furniture. Never leave pets alone in the property. Please clear all evidence of pets from gardens etc. before leaving. 

Notes: A travel cot and high chair are available for guests' use.  This property is not suitable for those with mobility problems or toddlers as the staircase is quite steep and narrow.
