Description

Set on the edge of the charming, historic village of Eastry and built in circa 1750, Anchor Barn offers bags of character with beamed double height ceilings, wood burning stove and a beautiful brick courtyard entrance amidst lovely rural surroundings.  A five minute walk along a quiet footpath will bring you to the village, offering everything you could need from an excellent local butcher's to General Store, fish and chip shop, the Five Bells pub and even a Chinese takeaway.  Medieval Sandwich with its fascinating winding streets and the river walk is just 3 miles away, or you can head for the  wonderful Sandwich Bay private estate with its sweeping beaches or visit stunning Deal pier and town with its unique range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.

Bedroom 3 is carpeted and you step over the oak cross beam to reach the double bed! There are bedside tables, a chest of drawers, and a built-in wardrobe. Step over another original oak beam to access the en suite bathroom  

 

Garden: Large patio with garden furniture and barbecue. Steps leading up to large lawn with borders. Garden is not secure.
Parking: Private parking area for up to 3 cars.
Heating: Gas central heating.
Notes: Not suitable for children under 6 yrs.. Please do not smoke at this property.Young babies (not mobile) okay but please be aware of the spiral staircase and beam in bedroom.  Due to steep slope for access, spiral staircase and steps up to lawn, the property is not suitable for the elderly or those with mobility problems. Dogs by arrangement, 2 small or 1 large. Property is adjacent to a country road and whilst its not a main road there may be some traffic noise. Bus stop located by driveway.
