Situated on an attractive quiet residential road near East Hill - this well-presented totally self-contained wing of a grand Victorian house offers comfortable family accommodation. With its wonderful high ceilings the house feels spacious and light. It is ideally located only ten minutes walk from the shingle beach - or take the longer option and enjoy the spectacular views from the East Hill paths. The house is also minutes from the fashionable Old Town with its individual shops, the award winning Judge's bakery where the cookies and brownies are second to none and the new Jerwood Gallery at The Stade, exhibiting contemporary British art.  The recently renovated pier in the town was awarded pier of the year 2017 and close to the pier  is the world's largest underground skate park. Why not sample some freshly caught fish from Britain's largest beach-launched fishing fleet in the many local pubs and restaurants and a short drive will take you to medieval Rye and the Hastings Country Park at nearby Fairlight - there really is something to keep everyone happy.  Shop: 0.5 mile   Pub: 0.5 mile Coast: 0.75 mile

It's our second visit to Brackledown, what a lovely place in such a beautiful spot, with exceptionally friendly hosts, highly recommended

Mike R,

Such lovely landlords. A warm welcome and every time we needed help, they were there with an answer. Thank you for that again. A beautiful house with an excellent access to the surounding area. Short walks to pubs, restaurants, shopping and beach. All very clean. A wonderful house for a family holiday. We can reccomend it.

Mr Andreas Z,
