It is located in the glorious ancient small town of Winchelsea which is an ideal base for exploring the area, being only a few miles from Winchelsea beach, great for beach combing and fossil hunting and a few miles from historic Rye with its cobbled streets full of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Rye Harbour Nature Reserve offers a wonderful opportunity for nature lovers and walkers and is only a short drive away. Battle Abbey Cottage has been furnished to a high standard using soft colours and fine textures to create a sense of home and lifestyle. The sitting room has a wood burning stove and is beautifully furnished and opens into a well equipped contemporary kitchen. This in turn opens into a bright conservatory dining area and has great views of the garden which has been designed to include colour and interest. There is a pretty summer house at the top of the garden, a perfect spot to take a book and enjoy this wonderful outside space. This is a property that will appeal to your senses, providing delightful walks from your doorstep and fine views towards the sea across the marshland from the town gates. Kitchen has a good range of painted cupboards with a gas hob and electric oven, a fridge with a small ice compartment and a butler sink. No microwave. There is a washing machine cleverly housed in a cupboard
Dining Room/Conservatory is a wonderfully light room with ceiling roof blinds and wood laminate flooring, a dining table with a bench and a wicker chair, a leather armchair and a sideboard. There is a Smart TV/DVD with Freeview. There is a door to the garden

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. It’s stylish, small but perfectly formed and great for exploring Rye and the countryside around Winchelsea.
