This beautifully renovated former farm workers cottage sits high above The Weald and has the most breathtaking views over the rolling Kent countryside - so it couldn't be named anything other than "Weald View"! It is a mirror image of Bay Tree Cottage MD443, which is attached. This very special house has been decorated and furnished with great care and flair - retaining the glorious original Victorian details - so you can enjoy the perfect country holiday whilst experiencing a little touch of luxury. There is even a picnic table ready for you in the orchard, a sun-trap patio overlooking the panoramic views and many lovely walks right on your doorstep. Because of its great central location it couldn't be better placed for visiting the numerous National Trust properties and gardens in the area, a trip to London from nearby station at Headcorn will only take an hour and yet you can sit in perfect peace and quiet and listen to the birds in your very own orchard... The only negative thing about our whole week at this beautiful cottage is that there was no visitors' book. There was a 'feedback folder' where past visitors had placed their comments, but it had run out of pages for me to make any comment. I do find other people's remarks helpful and useful and like to make my own. Weald View Cottage is beautiful, and with the weather being exceptional, it was sublime. We utilised the ingenious rattan outdoor furniture for most of our time there, loving the phenomenal Easter days we were blessed with - and the endless view spread out before us. Their own apple juice was awaiting us, with biscuits - and all the kitchen utensils we needed were provided. The bed was lovely with beautiful linen, and the view of the Weald of Kent spread out before us. No complaints from any of us - it was a very special family holiday unsurpassed!
Very nice property, lovely setting, well equipped.
The ballooning was wonderful and so was Leeds Castle.
Great location for us to visit family but have our peace too. Enjoyed sitting outside watching the bunnies. I would stress to follow the owner's directions and not the sat nav as the sat nav was very determined to take us the most awkward way possible!
