Weavers Cottage is located in the peaceful garden setting of The Cloth Hall, which is a wonderful example of a 15th century yeoman's timber hall house. Smarden was once renowned as a weaving community in medieval times. The cottage has been successfully converted into a stunning retreat for two and has been styled with every attention to detail offering a super king-size bed, a luxury spa bathroom and a large comfy sofa right in front of the wood burning stove. Outside there is a beech hedge enclosing the courtyard garden with own barbecue, use of the owners' swimming pool and there is also a communal seating area with a cooking fire pit. There are beautiful gardens surrounding the cottage with a vegetable patch where guests can pick their own from a seasonal selection. There is also a shared games room above the garage with armchairs, a fridge and a pool table. Weavers Cottage can be booked in conjunction with Spinster's Nook which sleeps 2 and is located next door. Shop: 3.4 miles Pub: 0.2 miles Coast: 22 miles

The gardens are perfect and the facilities both in the cottage and grounds ensure a luxurious, relaxing and entertaining break. Numerous attractions are within easy reach and there are excellent eateries close at hand.
Cottage was based on grounds with owners property and all personal grounds were open for our enjoyment including their private heated pool and vegetable gardens.
We've had a great week in this superbly comfortable cottage. Being able to swim in the pool every day has been brilliant. The house and grounds are just stunning. We've enjoyed picking fresh fruit and veg from the veg patch. If we want to visit this part of the world again we wouldn't hesitate to come back.
Have had a fabulous few days here. Wonderful reception on arrival, scones and cream! The history of this place, lovely owners, great accommodation in idyllic location. Will definitely return.
This is a spectacular property in a spectacular location in a pretty village. The lounge/diner has a most welcoming ambience. Nothing was left out to make one feel comfortable. A welcome feature is the pool table above the garage; just right before the evening meal. The Weavers Cottage garden looking out over the pond is delightful and makes a calm, relaxing space. The Cloth Hall gardens are immaculate, beautiful and provide a lovely evening walk. A large size swimming pool is also in the gardens; it is par excellence! Luxury.
