Squirrels Loft is a superb pied à terre for two nestled above a 3 bay garage and perched amidst the beautiful Kent countryside with far reaching views.  It is located on the outskirts of the chocolate box village of Smarden and within a short walk to the local pub.  The open plan living space has wooden flooring with underfloor heating throughout and offers a modern contemporary feel, full of comfy sofas and soft furnishings with great attention to detail in all rooms.  There is a separate bedroom which is double aspect with lovely far reaching views and a spacious shower room.  There is a small area of outside space with table and chairs and use of the owners' tennis court and small gym if you still have any energy to burn off!  There are plenty of woodlands and countryside walks that you can explore with your dog and the village of Smarden is only a mile away with a butchers and 3 pubs.  Two fields away sits the Headcorn Aerodrome which is very popular with plane spotters and classic car visitors.  Why not book a pleasure flight and enjoy a birds eye view of the surrounding countryside! There are many of gastro pubs and restaurants locally and you will be well placed for enjoying a tour of the local vineyards and local farm shops, which sell locally produced food and drink.  Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens are close by as is Leeds and Bodiam castles, famous gardens such as Hole Park and Great Dixter are open most of the year.  Plan a trip to Historic Rye and Tenterden and jump on board a steam train... the list of things to do in this area is limitless.  Shop: 1 mile  Pub: 0.3 miles  Coast: 23 miles

Out and About:
Smarden is 1 mile away and is a small picturesque village with 3 pubs, a butchers and vintage shop and art gallery.  Local shopping can be done in Headcorn which is 3 miles away and there is also a mainline station there. Biddenden is 4 miles away and has a restaurant and a curry house.  Close by you can explore Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, Leeds Castle and Bodiam Castle.  There is a golf club at Chart Hills and fishing lakes at Cackle Hill.  Historic Rye is 20 miles away, Camber Sands is just a few miles further along the coast.  The Kent and East Sussex Railway is in Tenterden, which is known as the Jewel in the Weald locally, with lots of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs.  There are vineyard tours and tastings at Chapel Down in Small Hythe and Hush Heath in Staplehurst.   Gardens to visit are Hole Park in Rolvenden and Great Dixter in Northiam.  Learn to fly or just book a pleasure flight at Headcorn Aerodrome, also hosts classic car meets.
