Have some family fun this October half term
Ball games on the beach, countryside walks, bicycle trails and woodland stomps, there is so much fun to be had this October half term with all the family when you book a cottage in Kent or Sussex. The scenery is so stunning at this time of year as the colours of Autumn mean the countryside is filled with burnt oranges, reds and golds as the leaves in the trees and hedges change hue. What’s better than a lovely traditional pub meal or roast after swooshing through crisps leaves in wellies on a country walk? Or a warm drink – or fish and chips of course - in a seaside café after playing on the beach or exploring favourite seaside towns? Many of our cottages take pets and dogs are allowed anywhere on the beach at this time of year, which means you family dog will have great fun too on exhilarating walks on the beach and yomps through the countryside.
There’s so much in the area to see and do for all ages from the Rare Breeds Centre in Woodchurch for little ones, to Betteshanger Park (Deal), Bedgebury National Pinetum (Goudhurst) and Bewl Water (Lamberhurst) for all the family with adventure playgrounds, cycling, nature trails and more. With Halloween so soon after half term, there’s special events for the children taking place at many of the attractions and historic houses and gardens too. See Visit Kent’s website, which is a great place to find out more information on what’s on offer in the area and has information on all the spooky events going on in half term.
